Seems to be the correct section.

My Dutch doesn't exist , and my english is poor,so I hope you'll be patient with me.

I found (discovered too....) a Pon bike few days ago, and was love at first sight.

The winter is coming and want to restore all the bike (paint, missing parts etc...), during the cold seasons with no hurry.

If correct the section, posting some pics, someone can help me about the model?

Then, I'll open a topic in section about restore.

Right now, because of my job,I found the time to post the pics about the bike at last.

Your Pon bike is not very old, I am afraid, in spite of the general appearance and the plunger brake. It is a characteristic example of the average classical Dutch ladies bike and from that point of view a handsome object. Though Pon is an old Dutch holding company, dating from about 1895, this bike is in all probability dating from the late eighties, nineties or newer. Pon took over several bicycle companies and most likely the bike is a so called brand-engineering of one of these factories. Don't let this spoil your pleasure in restoring her: many spare parts are still available and in her second life she will grateful carry you forever...

Hello Angelo,

As Wim points out, the bike is oldfashioned but not old. In fact it contains 2 year numbers on the downtube. The first one will be the founding of PON as a firm. The last one: 1993 or 1998 will be the year production. Parts like the chaincase are easy to find in Holland.

If not an old old bike is not a problem for me, I don't care at all about its value.
I love its holland fashion.

Already found original Pon basket and a new chaincase, so now I need:
new stickers set, cause want to scratch and paint the frame.
original light
dynamo
saddle
rear kickstand

I'm absolutely not a newbie on the web, but trust me, seems impossible for me find link to a shop where buy what I need.
The parts wrote above, (basket and chaincase) are on Italian ebay).

All suggest are welcome: link name address etc..

Hallo Angelo.

Is the state of the bike so bad that you have to repaint it? I presume that the original paint is still better than what they sell nowadays. Just stop any rusting and carefully paint over the decals with a fine brush...
And you need a bicycle bell! Join the Oude Fiets as a member and possibly we may have a superb "jubel" for you.

You can try Pon, Netherlands, email: info@pon.com. Give them a clear description what you want to get, with a picture. I doubt if they have it for you, but nothing ventured, nothing gained...
